original ideas: Domus

These were the initial ideas for the project, neither fully adresses the site. Design one is partly subterranian, an idea that will be expressed in later designs. Design 2 only addresses the longitudinal shape of the site with a cantilevered split lever design not appropriate for the desert




These were thumbnails that show a section across the building. The design is submerged into the desert ground creating a two level structure with a courtyard inbetween. The courtyard is contained by seperate structures on either side that are bridged by a gantry.
